Holiday Makeup with a Twist

Oh, hello! In my latest YouTube video I created this look for the holidays. This is a wearable festive look, with a little twist on the usual gold and red look.

You can find my video here:

Holiday Makeup in Reverse

Lately I've been watching so many makeup tutorials with little variations on the same gold eyeshadow with bold red lips - look, that I thought I would turn the whole thing upside down, and do red eyeshadow with gold lips. Also I wanted to try something different for the face as well, so I switched up blush and highlight, placing blush more towards the highpoints and highlighter on the apples of the cheek. You can see my glowy cheeks here:

Let me walk you through the steps quickly:

- I primed with a Strobing Creme by Revolution to achieve a glowing base and used the Smashbox Studio Skin foundation, which gave me the perfect blank canvas to paint on. 😃 I bronzed up using my favourite S.HE bronzing powder and applied Maybelline Face Studio blush in Cosmopolitan to the cheeckbones, more to the back of the face. As a final touch I highlighted the apples oy my cheek with Obsession Highlighter in Moon.

- For the eyes I used four (!) different eyeshadow palettes

First I used the Jeffree Star Androgyny palette:

I used Safeword all over the lid and  I mixed Charm with Fetish for a transition shade, high high above my crease. Then I deepend the crease and outer corner with Androgyny.

To achieve a vibrant red look I mixed two shades from two different palettes.

An oringe-y red shade from Makeup Revolution Eat Sleep Makeup Repeat palette:

It is the shade called Say It Now, and I put this all over the lid, under the crease. This is a very intense shadow, but not as deep red as I wanted so I used a more pinkish, raspberry red shade from another palette.

To deepen the color I used the NYX Ultimate Brights palette:

This pinkish red was very pigmented and brightened up the color instantly.

I could have left the look like that, for a complete matte look, but I wanted some shine on the lids, so I added a little shimmer with another palette.

The NYX Ultimate palette in Warm Rust:

I used the two middle shades in the shimmery row with my finger to give the eyelids some sparkle.

-Then added more Androgyny to the corners and the lower lashline.
I winged it out very carefully, because if there is a look that needs liner then this is the one.
Something that blew my mind was the new eye highlighter pen from Catrice. I used the one in 010 an it made my eyes pop instantly:

-For lips I used Milani Amore Matte Metallic Lip Créme in Chromatic Addict:

Since I don't usually do a gold lip, I don't own a gold lipliner, so I used a gold eyeliner pencil by Trend It Up. As you probably notice this lip color is not downright gold, it's more beige-y, I added a yellow shiny lipglaze.

I used the Catrice Prizma Lip Glaze in Enchanted Gold:

To tell you the truth, the actual look came out quite wearable... for the holidays at least. I thought it would be a lot more crazy, but I liked it overall. I could have added glitter to the eyes, but maybe in my New Years party look.

I hope you like it, and try for this holiday season.

Using All of My Eyeshadows Project

Hi! Today I'd like to introduce to you, my kind of new project.

USING ALL MY EYESHADOWS PROJECT

I have so many individual eyeshadows and eyesahow palettes and I decided to try and use all of them. So what I'm doing is basically choose a palette and use all the eyeshadows in my everyday makeup routine. Not all of them at the same time, but not quiting the palette unless all of the colors have been used. A very simple concept, explained complicated.

Currently I'm using Revolution Beauty Flawless 2

This is a screenshot from my YouTube video, where I used it, link here:

Hello + GRWM

I used it today to do my makeup and now I am on to the beige transitions shades in row three horizontally.

This is the look I came up with for work, showing you what colors I've used:

First of all let me tell you how impessed I am that I've had these shadows on for approximaetly 8 hours and they hold this good, still.

So... I used the yellowish light shade on row two all over the lid, then the beige one in row three as a transition, I darkened the outer V with the grey shade in the bottom row, and used the light pink shimmery shade all over the lid. Since I was in a hurry, I didn't do highlighting on the browbone and in the inner corner, nor did I put anything on the lower lashline, but this is what my everyday makep is usually in the office.

I am truly excited about this palette. I want to do something with the next beige in line with that nice chocolate-y shade next to it. Overall I like these shadows, but actually I really like Revolution Beauty as a brand (dupes or no dupes). The quality is great for the price, and they always have tons of products coming out. A bit hard to keep up with them actually. But anyways... I hope I can crack into the next palette by Christmas. Until then I might want to share a look or two with you with this one.

Hope you like this idea, and can do the same with your own collection.

Love you my pets!
