MAYBELLINE Made For All Lipstick Swatches

Aaaah... Maybelline lipsticks. We go back, way back. I was in love with them in highschool.
I remember when the Water Shine Diamonds came out...

So naturally I got very excited when I went to my local drugstore and found that there is a brand new edition of Maybelline lipsticks.

I looked these up online and the Maybelline website stated that these lipsticks complement all shades of complexions.

Let's have a look at them first:

From left to right:

373 Mauve for Me

376 Pink for Me

379 Fuchsia for Me

382 Red for Me (Matte)

385 Ruby for Me

388 Plum for Me

There is another shade 370 Spice for Me, that is unfortunately unavailable in Hungary, even though I checked in several drugstores.

If you want to see colors lip swatched, please watch my YouTube video here:

Let's see the colors one by one, in natural light:

373 Mauve for Me

  376 Pink for Me

379 Fuchsia for Me

382 Red for Me

385 Ruby for Me

388 Plum for Me

These are the perfect consistency of lipstick. Creamy, nicely scented, and soooo pigmented that it's crazy. When I applied these I was totally taken aback, how pigmented the colors were, especially the red ones, but I think Pink for Me might be my favourite your-lips-but-better colored lipstick.

Here are the colors swatched on my fair, yellow undertoned arm, in natural light:

I hope you find this helpful and will try one or some of these.

Lots os love,

Pursuit of the Perfect Foundation

This year I am on a mission! I want to find the perfect foundation! And not just one! I want to have
two or three options, I can gest in different colors, depending on the season.

The story behind this:

I was planning my 2018 yearly favourites video, when I realized I haven't had any great foundations I had loved last year. I bought a few things, I tried even fewer and nothing really impressed me. Though it is true that I didn't even try with foundations that much, I was way more into highlight and eyeshadow.

My History of Foundation in 2018:

In the beginning of the year I was using this older Avon True Colour foundation, which was okay. I just wanted to use it up actually.

I had one of these MaxFactor Lasting Performance foundations from the year before and I repurchased it in February because I was into it at the time...until I realized it oxidized on me...
By the time I used those up it was summer and then I went with a BB cream....
This is a very nice BB cream, but... the light shade is too dark for me. When I was a bit more tan, it was acceptable but still obviously darker than my skintone.
During the summer though, sometimes I totally went without foundation in the extreme heat, or moisturiser and pressed powder.

I feel like I have to mention here that I did buy the Fast Base stick foundation from Revolution Beauty...and I loved it.So it's not totally true that I didn't like any foundations last year, but it is a stick so I put it in a different category 'kay!?
This is what it looks like, I use shade F4 though I wanna try more, and also I want to use a darker shade to contour.
After summer I went back to liquid foundations. I bought one from Physicians Formula. The Youthful Wear Spotless foundation.

This is a very nice product, but the shade range for this brand at our drugstore is shameful. They have 3(!) shades, and all of them are an orange-ish weird shade. I even bought a lightening fluid form Revolution Beauty, but that changed the formula so I will try using this during summer.

After ditching Physicians Formula I just kind of drifted from product to product. As I mentioned I bought quite a few foundations but have not opened them yet, so it was in December that I started experimanting, and also eliminating colors, because I need to group everything to summer shades and winter shades.

Foundations I have purchased/need to try

Maybelline Matte & Poreless in 110
Maybelline Superstay 24HR Foundation in Porcelain
Milani Conceal + Perfect in 01 Creamy Vanilla
NYX Stay Matte but not Flat in Alabaster
MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW15
Estée Lauder Double Wear Make-up in 1N1 Ivory Nude

Foundations I need to keep on tryin'

L'Oreal True Match in 2C (it is a bit too rosy for me, I need to buy a more yellow one)
Catrice HD Liquid Coverage in 020
Smashbox Studio Skin Hydrating Foundation in 2.1

Also there a few more I would like to try, though I need to use the ones I already have...
I think I will keep on tryin' out the above mentioned ones, and if I use one up I'll buy a new one, but I really cannot make any promises, since I'm such a shopaholic.

Foundation Wishlist

Essence #insta perfect Liquid Makeup
Miss Sporty Really Me Foundation Stick or another good foundation from this brand
MaxFactor Panstick and Miracle Match Foundation
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop Foundation
Inglot All Covered Face or  HD Perfect Coverup Foundation (I don't know yet, I'll have to have myself matched)

and lots and lots more....will keep you updated.

This is it guys. #foundationgoals2019 Wish me luck!

I will update you on my journey soon.

Lots of love,

Holiday Looks Roundup

Happy New Year Everyone! Sorry I've been MIA for a while, but I got sick after christmas and I am just starting to feel a bit better.

I wanted to share a bunch of pictures after Christmas, but that has passed...so I decided to share my Christmas makeup looks in one great post.

So basically this is the roundup of my looks during this holiday season.

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve whivh is our real gift giving time in Hungary, I decided to do a rose gold half cutcrease, mainly because I wanted to try the new Rival de Loop Young Crystal Pigment I hauled the day before.

It isn't the most pigmented thing in the world, but since it is less than 2$, it is totally fine. I have the shade 05 Vintage Romance. Though I have pigments feom Aliexpress that work so much better than this, but then again they cost 3$ or 4$. For Christmas dinner it was perfect.

Inicially I had a red liquid lip on from Aliexpress, but decided to gloss things up, and I added the new Catrice Prizma Lip Glaze in 020 Princess Peach. That one I love. You can add it to the ugliest crustiest liquid lip and it will transform it to a beautiful dewy, juicy, glossy lip.

I only made a baby wing, and very thin eyeliner because I wanted to focus on the rose gold lid. For transition and outer corner I used the current palette at the time the Revolution Beauty Flawless 2.

I wanted to glow, glow, glow, so I smeared liquid highlighter on most of my body. I put the Revolution Beauty Liquid Highlighter Unicorn Elixir on my neck, shoulders, chest and arms.

For my face I used the same brand Revolution Liquid Hightilghter, but I mixed Dragon's Blood and Euphoric Gold. Plus I added the gold and pink powder highlighters from the Lovely Radiant Glow palette.

You can see my highlight poppin' when I was just lounging on the sofa watching TV after dinner.

Christmas Day

In the morning I was sleepy and cold, so I was wearing no makeup, when my father-in-law came over to exchange gifts. It was au naturel plus a huge fun christmas sweater.

In the afternoon I made a video of my haul before Christmas, and this was my look:

Check out my YouTube video here:

Before our Christmas family dinner I changed my makeup, which I filmed, so you can watch it here:

Christmas GRWM

This is how it turned out:

Since I had the silver top, I wanted a kind of matching look, so I switched up the classic red-gold look, for a silver-pink one.

See the video for the deets. It is a short one, I don't talk, just show.

And basically that was Christmas for me. I only threw up from after that. Though for New Year's Eve we went to a friend's house but came home early because husband was not feeling good either.

This was my NYE look:

It was simple, because I did not feel like fussing about with my makeup, plus there were kids, so I didn't want anything extravagant. I used the new palette I'm using all the colors of. It is an Essence Eyes & Face Palette. I will post about it later.

And for the rest of the days I'm tryin' not to fall over on my desk.

Hope you had a better holiday season.

Lots of kisses,
